The Hotel
Raven Hall Country House Hotel and Golf Course is set in an inspiring location standing dramatically on the cliff-top with breathtaking views overlooking Robin Hood's Bay. Located in the North York Moors National Park mid-way between Whitby and Scarborough, the hotel is an ideal getaway destination and provides all of the full-service amenities you expect from a country house hotel.
The hotel facilities comprise 52 en suite bedrooms, conference and banqueting facilities for up to 160 delegates and an excellent range of leisure facilities, indoor and out, including our own challenging 9-hole golf course and indoor heated swimming pool.
Lodges
A collection of eight new and exclusive eco-friendly lodges, designed and developed from sustainable materials by Finnish Living Homes, are also available at Raven Hall Hotel. An historic site too, the village of Ravenscar has a long and turbulent history dating back to the fifth century when the Romans built a fort on this very site. It was however George III who gave Raven Hall the royal connection when he made it his special retreat.
Short-break or longer holidays include opportunities to explore so many of the attractions of Yorkshire including the North York Moors, Scarborough and Whitby. Castle Howard is nearby and York about an hour's drive.
The hotel also arranges special activities for guests in its 100 acres of grounds and the local area including husky trekking, birds of prey, pony trekking and entertainment events throughout the year. The hotel is the start/finishing point for the Lyke Wake Walk, a complete crossing of the North Yorkshire Moors.
